BANDLIVESTUDIOWEBSTORE |
april 7, 2003 - london, england - the garage
Monday night at Londons famous rock club Garage. Its dark, smoky and the floor is already covered with beer. The band is just about to go on stage, people are standing by the bar and concentrating on their beers. (The floor was already covered with beer. How?)
Swearing at Motorist is the first band of three on stage. Only a few people are in front of the stage. They start playing. They start rocking. All of a sudden it is crowded in front of the stage. People have left the bar for the stage.
The energy is getting higher. Dave is jumping around, his hair going everywhere as well as his feet. Sometimes they were on top of the drums, sometimes not on the floor. But what does it matter that he is laying over the speakers? He continues playing.
The guys showed that you don't need a four member band to play really good rock live. All you need is a good drummer, with a fluffy fur hat and a good guitarist and singer.
People were having fun and enjoying themselves. The crowd wasn't gigantic, but the crowd were fans. They wanted to see Swearing at Motorists, they wanted to hear their songs and they definitely got what they paid for. However, we would like to see them play longer next time they are in town.
London promised to come and see Swearing at Motorists next time. They also promised to bring their friends. But they wouldn't give away their drugs.
Songs played:
