Dayton, Ohio, has another rock outfit worth recognizing besides Guided by Voices. It's certainly not the Breeders, but a scruffy duo called Swearing at Motorists. The band headlines Sit & Spin tonight (9 p.m.; $4) and opens for Carissa's Wierd and Thee More Shallows at Graceland on Saturday (9 p.m.; $7). Led by guitarist/vocalist Dave Doughman, Swearing at Motorists is one of the country's best-kept secrets. So far in its brief career, the band has amassed three full-length albums -- including this year's The Flag Signals Goodbye -- all of which have received glowing critical praise.
