apparently the jack in dave's guitar was fucked so everytime he tried to really ROCK out and jump around stage all thrashy and shit, there was mad feedback, which obviously upset him a great deal, but he was resolved to move on. "you're going to get your money's worth! oh wait, this is a free show. well you're still going to get a FIFTEEN DOLLAR SHOW out of me."

so he played his quieter songs ("because i hear we're an emo band, so i guess we can do it") and took requests and told jokes and YAY! i love swearing at motorists.
